1st Day of School!

Marlie is off to 5th and Jaiden is off to 3rd!! They are so

excited to start the new year, we have been on year

round for so long there summer's were always

so short!! This year we start traditional

school so they had a full summer so they

were really ready to go back this year!!

Now if they were this happy every morning for the rest of the year it will be a great one:)

We started off the Easter weekend with our nieghborhood

This is Marlie's letter to Santa that

she wrote in school today!!
(i hope you can read it)

She is so cute, but at what age do you tell your kids about

santa??? So many people have told me that she needs to know so

she doesn't get made fun of at school, but she is so into the magic

of christmas, I know it will break her heart when she learns about it!!!

I am for sure not telling her before this christmas, but should I tell her after??

So sad to break your childs heart!!!

The girls have been asking for the past couple of

years to go ice skating, but we always thought
Gage and Ellie were to little...but this year we

decided to take them! We went down to the outdoor rink at

Gallivan center, I love downtown this time of year!!!!

We had so much fun!!

I love this picture, right after we put there skates on

Ellie started to get really worried and wasn't sure what to expect!!

James pretty much just pushed Gage around the whole time,

He loved it and said WWwweeeee all the way around the rink!!!

Ellie decided she did like it at first she just kept
saying things like, "I think I better just watch" and "this is
not working for me, i think its time to leave" But after going
around a few times she started to have fun!!

These two were fearless...they got out there and just went for
it!! They loved it (even though they fell over and over) they just
got right back up and kept going!!!!

They ended up sitting at the end to just watch the girls!!!

It was such a fun night:)

Lovin' Woody!!!!

So the other day Gage was over at my

friend Jodi's house and he was playing

with there cute "Woody" and when

it was time to leave he wouldn't let go of it!!!
So Jodi let him bring it home for a few days

and play with it!!! We had this cute hat and scarf

that we put on him and he won't take it off!!!
He has pretty much become consumed with

playing woody!!!! It is so cute....I think we are

going to have to get him his own Woody so Caden

can have his back!!!

Happy Birthday to my sweet Marlie!!! She is 10 today!! I can't believe I have a

10 year old!! Wow how tome flies!! We had a really fun sleepover party for her

last weekend so I will post pics soon!!! Today she is going to Oregon with James' mom

to visit Unlce Jon, Zach & Jake!!! Until monday!!! She is so excited, but to be honest I am having a really hard time with it!!! I haven't been away from her longer than one night, and she will

be gone for 5 days!!! Such a fun oppurtunity for her so I am going to put a huge smile

on my face and than cry on the way home from the airport:) I love you Marlie, you are growing up to be the most beautiful girl!!!!

So last night I let the kids go outside to ride there

bikes!! Ellie has just recently learned how to

ride her bike w/o training wheels, but of course

she jumped on her bike w/o her helmet, but I

immediately got her back to get her helmet on!!!

So we were only out for about 5 min. when I saw

Ellie start to loose control of her bike and crash....

HARD!!! Her head was literally the only thing

that hit!!! It was one of those moments when you

just can't run fast enough to get there!!! I picked her

up and saw this lovely wound on her forehead, but she

was not responding to me and then she started choking

because she got a really bad bloody nose and it was going

straight down her throat!!! I freaked out because she didn't

her nose, (of course James wasn't home) so I brought her

in the house and she was just crying and not answering any

questions and completely delirious, so I called the ER and

they wanted to see her, so we took her in!!! All I have to

say is that if you want to see a Dr. quick at the ER...walk in

with a 2 screaming children and 2 others that don't

want to listen!!! (gage had a fever and a double ear infection)

So...needless to say they got us into a room very quickly and

the Dr pretty much followed me right into the room!!! James got there

a little while later and things finally calmed down!!! They observed

her for a while and after coming to the conclusion that she had

a pretty bad concussion and was going to have a really bad

headache for a while they sent a home!!! I am so glad she is

going to be okay, but it definitely was a good scare!!! Hopefully we

can keep the wound from scaring to badly, they said that vitamin E

would help so we will see!!! O how I love my kids:)

Wow!!! Its time for school already, we were just getting

used to school being out for the summer!!!

Marlie and Jaiden started 4th and 2nd

Grade last week!!! I will admit I wasn't

ready for them to go back yet, partly because

they were such good helpers around the house

and they kept Ellie and Gage entertained,

but also because we really were having

a fun summer:) How fast time flies!!! We still

have so much more planned for the rest of

summer, but we will just have to get a little

homework in along the way!!!! I usually take tons of pictures on the first day of school,

but are morning didn't go quite as planned...The girls got

up and got dressed, I got Jaiden's hair done and was in the

process of doing Marlie's when she said "mom I am seeing

things" and I pretty much caught her as she was about

to passout!!! She laid down for a minute then thought she

was going to throw up (but luckily didn't) was as pale as a ghost

and then laid back down and didn't want to go to school!!! So now we

were running way late and I grabbed Jaiden a pop tart and we

got in the car, when Marlie came running to the car and said she

wanted to come!!! I thought for sure it was just nerves!!! Although

when she has gotten really nervous in the past she has never passed out!!!
So we finally got to school and the lines were all going in, I made them stop really

quick for this pic, but that was it!! Luckily we got Jaiden in at the end of her line

and hurried to Marlie's class!!! I thought for sure I would get a phone call from

the school saying that she had passed out!! But luckily no phone call and they

were both all smiles when they got home from school!!! Gotta love those first day

jitters!!! Hopefully the rest of the year just gets better:)

Lovin' Summer!!!

My kids have pretty much lived in the backyard

this summer!! Everday they put on there

swimsuits and entertain themselves

with an old slip and slide, a small pool, and the

hose, and they just love it when I bring

down lunch:) We have had such a fun summer,

its crazy to think that school starts in a little over

week:(

I saw this cute idea in a magazine, you take a cupcake wrapper

and poke the popsicle through the middle of it so

it doesn't drip down your kids hand!!!
I have to say it worked rather nicely and

the kids thought it was pretty cool!!!!

After the guys went golfing and then a little yard work

at Grandpa and Grandma's house, we headed to the

desert for some fun in the dirt!!!!

We took the kids to the Bees game last night!!
As you can see there weren't a lot of people there because it was

RAINING!!!!! But we lucked out, my sis-in-law Amber

hooked us up with tickets in a Suite!!! It was so

fun!!! We got to stay nice and warm and still

watch the game...even if they did loose way

bad!!!! The Bee came up to our suite and so we

got some fun pictures with him!!! Gage loved it, he was

just fascinated and stared out to the feild the whole time!!!!

Today is James' 32nd Bday!!! We went to

It has been a great year for James so far, he has

This kid is trying to see how high he can get my blood pressure!!!

Once again I thought it was out of reach and he still got to it!!

I think I am going to put all the kitchen chairs out in the garage

and we can eat standing up!!! Everyone has told me BOYS are so

different...I am now learning that very quickly, he can

climb up anything!!!! (this really helps my case that

James needs to build me a kitchen downstairs instead

of a theatre room)

So this morning I was vacuuming and when I turned

off the vacuum I heard Gage in the other room saying

So the past couple of weeks Gage has really taken an intrest in

Basketball!!! Now I know what you are all thinking...of course he

would both his parents love to play, but we really haven't had to

do much!!! Everytime he see's it on TV he freezes and yell "BatBall"

(he can't quite say it yet) or if he see's a ball he has to have it!!!! The best is

when we were in sacrament on sunday and he could see the hoops back

in the gym, the whole meeting he was yelling "BatBall" James

decided it was time to get him a hoop for his room, so this is what we

got him and he literally spends a few hours a day in there shooting

his basketball!!! With practicing this much at only 18 months, he has got

to atleast make it to play in college right??!!!:) I am sure James will make sure he

sticks with it:)

"Mommy...My shirt is broken!!!!"

So I put this shirt on Ellie yesterday and immediatly

she started pulling down the sleeves!!!

She quickly realized that they weren't long

enough to reach her hand and was in tears!!!

She was so upset and said, "mommy my shirt is

broken" I felt so bad for her!!! She wanted it

off immediately!!! She couldn't stop

crying long enough (nor could I stop laughing) for

me to explain to

her that the sleeves were supposed to be

that way!!! Finally James of all people was

able to eplain to her, that that is how the

shirt is suppossed to be!!! We got a

good laugh out of it, but I highly doubt

she will ever wear that shirt again!!!

A Small Makeover!!!

So ever since we moved into our house, I have wanted

to do something about our

kitchen!!! I really didn't like the cupboards at all,

so since it would have

been to espensive to remodel the whole thing,

we decided to paint!!!!

James added bead board to the fronts of all the

cupboards and around the

island and we painted it all!!! I was so excited to get

started that Iforgot to take a before picture!!!

So here are the afters:) It gives our house a whole new look!!!

It's A Party!!!

We had Jaiden's b-day party last night with her

friends at Jumpin Jacks!!! It was really crazy but lots

of fun...sorry for all the pics:)
We had an fun little moment with these balloons...they
were tied to the table and Gage decided it would be fun to play with the
strings and one of the bundles came untied, well they all went up to the
ceiling and normally that would be okay and you could just reach up and get them down,
well the ceiling was about 50 ft high!!!!! I was planning on giving them to the
kids as a party favor:( Well James to the rescue, he was so sweet and ran over to
the store and got some more!!! Love ya babe!!!!!

She gots so much fun stuff, thanks everyone:)

We had such a wonderful holiday this year!!!

We were so blessed to be able to spend so

much time with family and do so many

fun things!!!! We went to see the "Zoo Lights" with Grandma

and Grandpa Candrian!!!

It was so fun, but I don't recomend it when
it is 15 degrees outside!!! We FROZE!!!!

Christmas Eve we did are traditional party and

Grandpa and Grandma Candrian's house!!!

We always have so much fun, and the kids love it!!!

We had "Breakfast with Santa" at the church this

past saturday, and the kids loved it!!!
Marlie got to play Mary, she loved that she got
to sit on the horse!! Jaiden played one the Many Angels!!!

They all did such a good job, it was so cute!!

Then Santa came and they all sat on his lap to tell

him what they wanted.

This is the first year we haven't had to tell Santa to hold
her tight for a picture, because she was screaming and

tryindg to get off his lap!!! We told her that Santa

wouldn't bring her what she wanted if she didn't ask him!!

She did great and loved it:)

Gage just loved it:) No screaming or anything

just smiled perfect for the camera!!!

"ALWAYS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!!!"

So I am asking the question...why do things always fall off the wall...crash to the floor...shatter...with the loudest bang IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT?????

James and I have had quit the adventure with this, when we lived in our town house this was

very common, but are nerves were never settled from it...we woke one night to hearing the loudest crash in our bathroom (the first thing I yelled of course was) GET YOUR GUN!!!!

James obviously wasn't as scared as me so he went to check it out and it was the stupid shampoo/soap dispenser (that was there when we moved in) that was attached to the side of the shower wall that had fallen into the bathtub...gggrrrr I was so mad!!!! Another night while James was working the graveyard shift I heard a huge loud crash downstairs (side note...whenever James is at work at night I sleep with the phone under my pillow) I immediatly grabbed the phone and without even thinking I dialed 911...realizing what I had done I hung up!!! STUPID thing to do, being the wife of a police officer I know that you never hang up once you have dialed 911!!! So I called James frantic, because I still don't know what is going on down stairs, he stays on the phone with me while I hesitantly go and check it out. Yet again another freak of nature thing...the coat rack had fallen over slamming into the wall on its way down!! So the other line rings and I saw that it was 911, James said they are going to want to come to the house and walk through it to make sure everything is okay...so I answered it and told them what had happened and they still insisted on sending an officer over...James called them and explained again what had happened and that his wife is a little paranoid, so they didn't come!!! By this time I am starting to think that our house is Haunted!!! (sorry this is turning into a really long post) A few months before we moved out yet again in the middle of the night (james was home this time) a loud crash with shattering glass!!! Again I yell GET YOUR GUN!!!!! I think he got it that time!! He goes running down the stairs and I slowly followed...he searched everywhere and couldn't find anything, so I came down and we looked everywhere again. I opened the bathroom door only to find the bathroom mirror had fallen off the wall and shattered everywhere, it broke the toilet seat and cracked the counter and dented the floor!!! Thank heavens know one was in there!! How does that happen...it even ripped off drywall!!!! I really think the house is haunted now!!!! So we moved:) LOL No not because the house was haunted!!!! Last week in the middle of the night a birdhouse fell off a shelf in the laundry room...it was flat and on the back of the shelf!!!!! Hello how does that happen!!! Anyway this brings me to why I am posting this today....James was working last night and yet again another crash...No I didn't call 911...I went a searched in Gage's room (because thats where the sound came from) and a perfectly standing picture and piggy bank fell off his dresser!!!! What is going on...All I can say is that if we do have ghosts living with us, they sure are clumsy!!!! They could atleast make things crash during the day and not "ALWAYS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!!!!!"

Which Way to the Witches!!

This week we went and saw the "Witches" at Gardner Village!!! It is so fun for the kids, they love it. If you go on there website you can print off a little witch hunt, you have to go around and find all the different witches and when your done you get to go into the yummy bakery and get a cookie for .25 cents!!! It is such a fun place during the holidays!!!! Isn't that just the cutest picture!!!

That is the best smile of Gage I think we have ever had on camera!!!

She wanted nothing to do with anymore pictures!!!

Eating our yummy cookies and having hot chocolate...it was so cold!!!

Marlie's Halloween Party!!!

We had Marlie's birthday party today...we had it be a halloween costume party!!! It was so fun with lots of yummy food and treats and great kids!!!

We made witch hands with candy and popcorn!!!

I am sure you will agree this costume fits me well:)

Gage got to hot in his costume so that is why he has no clothes on, but James thought he would help him out with a little facial hair!!!! We aren't really sure what James was dressed up as!!!

All the kids at the party!! We had so much fun!

We had Yummy food!!!

I made these Mummy Hotdogs!!! ( I just wrapped hot dogs in pizza dough and baked them for about 20 min at 350degrees) They were so yummy!!!

Best of all we had a fortune teller come to the party!!! The kids loved it and now they all think they are going to have great wealth in there future!!! (thanks to Jodi for playing a great part:))

It was a great party, but a lot of work!!! I think we will go somewhere for are next party!!! Then I (we) don't have to clean up!!!

An Update of all our recent outings!!!

We went to the circus a couple of weeks ago, and it was so fun!!! The theme was all about magic,and it was really cool. They did some tricks with the animals, that had even James and I stunned!!!

I got James tickets to the Utah game for part of his anniversary gift(I know, I am such a good wife:)) It was really fun, I haven't been to a game here in a really long time!!! And a bonus they won!!!!

Every year we go to this cute little pumkin patch in Riverton that we love!!! They have so many pumpkins that no matter how picked over they are you will leave with the perfect pumpkin!!! And the best of all is the prices are wonderful!!! We left with about 10 pumpkins(don't ask me why we had so many) and it was only $20!!! Cant beat that...I love that place we will keep going there year after year!!!!

They also have this FREE fun corn maze that isn't very big, (just right for the kids) and they love it!!! The kids wanted to do it again and again...and when I say the kids thats really what its meant for, James and I were ducking the whole time!!! Thats okay, it was still fun!!!

Ellie had her little field trip to the pumpkin patch at Engh Gardens!! It is so cute at Halloween!! They tell cute little ghost stories and have a little Hay Maze and a fun pirate ship to play on!!! IT is definetly a really cute place to go during Halloween!!!

So that is what we have been up to!!! Lots of fun and lots of PUMPKINS!!!!

10 years ago today I was frantically running around my

parents home yelling were going to be late!!!! I was so nervous that if we didn't get to the temple in time they wouldn't let us get married!!! But as you can see we made it and it has lasted 10 wonderful years!!! I love you so much James, thank you for the being the best husband and daddy in the world!!!!

Ellie Goes To School!!!

A Hair Cut For Ellie:)

So I have been cutting Ellie's hair and I decided
that the next time she needed her hair cut I was
going to take her to this cute place called "Cookie
Cutters" It is such a cute little place and they do
such a good job!!!

She was really nervous at first, but they turned on her favorite show "Dora" and it was all okay after that!!!

She got a cute little A-line with it stacked in the back!!! So fun...I highly recommend this place its not very expensive either!!!

One Year ago today I went to my 36 week
check-up and un-known to me the Doctor
said you were ready to come!!!! So between
the best Doctor ever (Dr. Irion) and the best
nurse ever (my good friend JoRae) they
helped bring you into the world!!!! Daddy
wasn't convinced you were a boy until he got
to see you!!!!:) (i new all along) You were such
a good, healthy baby and passed all the tests we were
so happy to have you come into our family that
day!!! Your sisters love you so much!!!! Sometimes
a little to much!!!! You have grown up so quickly and
have learned to do so many things in this past year!!
You have such a sweet spirit and I love that you are
such a boy already!!!! Daddy can't way to teach you all
the fun things that boys get to do!!! I could just sit and

Gage's First Steps!!!!

GAGE TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS TONIGHT!!!!

Amber and Kent came over for a visit and they

were playing with him trying to get him to stand up

and after doing it a few times he took a step!!!!! So

we worked at it a for a few minutes and he started

taking more steps!!!! He is growing up so fast!!! He

will be one next week!!! YAY Gage Good Job!!!!!

So my last post was all about the girls first day of school, they were both so excited!!! Well Marlie is loving it and doing great, but Jaiden is having a little harder time adjusting:( Her nerves are going crazy and she doesn't want to be at school all day. She has a strict teacher and doesn't want to be at school. She doesn't want to eat school lunch. She is so nervous at school that she won't even eat all her lunch that I pack for her:( She tears up when I take her to the bus, she cries at school, friday she called me crying and just said please come get me, I feel so bad for her...I am at a lost on even where to start!!! My little 6 year old is all stressed out and I am not sure how to deal with any of this!! If any of you have delt with this or have any advice I would love to hear it!!!! I do realize that all new things have an adjustment time, but how long should I let this go on before I take it to like the school counselor of something...she won't open up to me and tell me what she is afraid of!!! I feel like I am failing her as a parent!!! Like I said any advice would help:)

First Day Of School!!!

So another year of school has started!!!! Wow we
had a nice 3 week summer break (gotta love year
round) I am really not ready for school to start
again!!! I just put there back-packs away in the
closet on friday, just in time to pull them back out
to start it all over again!!!! O well next year will be
better, I switched them to A-track so we will get
a 6 week summer!!!! Marlie started 3rd grade
yesterday and Jaiden started 1st grade today!!!
Man that ages me:( I am so proud of my cute girls,
they are growing up so beautiful and they really
are such good girls:) Yes they do fight, but they are
so polite and really are good friends!!! I love you
both so much!!! I will treasure these times, because
it won't be long before we have screaming and yelling
matches over make up and who is wearing who's clothes:)
(not that i would no anything about that:)) I know James
can't wait for those days either!!!!

Swimming Lesson Time!!!

So we started the kids in swimming lessons again
this year! Marlie and Jaiden have done it a few
years, but this was Ellie's first time!!! So at first
she sat on the stairs and wouldn't do anything,
then I basically had to get in with her, then she
finally would let the instructor take her into the
water, and was really enjoying it, then she got a little
to comfortable and went all the way down the stairs...
well she couldn't reach so needless to say everyone
went after her!!! She was just fine, but stayed on
the stairs from then on!!!!

Jaiden did really well and finally let someone

help her float on her back...she hates doing that!!!

Marlie is almost a pro!!! This is her swimming away!!!!

A Day In the Mountains!!!!

We went up to Deer Valley today with Grandma
Dini and rode the chair lift up to the very top of the
mountain!!!! It was so beautiful up there, you
could see all the valleys and lakes for miles and
miles!!! If you ever get this opportunity I suggest
you take it!!! We took a picnic lunch and ate at the
top!!! It was such a fun day!!!

After all the fun, sun, and water...I came home with this horrible blister on the bottom of my foot!!!! I new the ground was hot so I would quickly run from one part of shade to the next, but I never realized it was hurting my feet so bad!!! Well just goes to show that the part you would most think would be protected from the sun isn't:( OOUUUCCCHHHH!!!!!!!

So ever since we moved in I haven't really liked the purplish/maroonish shutters and door!!! So I have been wanting to paint the door black and have James make me some new shutters!!!! Well this past week we finally got it all done (even if the rain did try to slow us down:))

Well its day #4 and we are having so much fun!!! We have all worn ourselves out so bad that the kids are beyond awnry, but I am suprisingly not bothered by it!!!!:) On monday when we left we stopped at the gas station on the way out of town and the first thing Ellie said was "is this Disneyland?" We just laughed and laughed!!!! That was pretty much how the rest of the drive went!!!! Every half hour or so she would ask if we were there yet, but we finally made it after our overnight stay in Primm!!!!! We had two great days in disneyland and california disney, Marlie and Jaiden were so excited because they are finally tall enough to go on all the rides...yeah no crying at disneyland (atleast those two didn't) and thanks the the fast pass and the rider switch pass (if you don't know what those are, they are the best thing disneyland has ever come up with) we didn't have to really stand in any lines and the kids got to go on every ride two times in a row!!!!! Like I said, we are exhausted!!!! We are of to San Diego in the morning for another adventure!!!! I will post some pics of the fun trip when I have some more time:)

We are so excited to go on our trip!!!! Only 2 more days!!!!! We are going to Disneyland with some of our good friends the Ball's!!!! Then we are going to San Diego for a few days, then its on to Arizona to see Nana Papa!!!! It will be a long trip, but well desereved!! We haven't been on a trip for almost 2 years:( With the new house and a new baby, we didn't get one in last summer!!!! So if anyone has any must do's that they love to do in those locations, pass them my way!!! And any fun travel tips for 4 crazy kids, I love road trips, so hopefully we will all survive without to many blow-ups:) We have the DVD thing for the kids and lots of coloring books and candy!!!! I am planning on reading the second Twilight book to James...I know he is so exicted about that!! So I think we are set...luckily we are breaking the drive up in to a couple days!!! Hopefully I will be able to blog along...so you can all enjoy our adventure with us!!!!

Now the big question is...will anything grow?????

So we planted a garden for the first time ever!!!
We really have no idea what we are doing, we
just followed the directions on all the plants!!!!
So we don't know if anything will grow, but it will
be fun to see what happens!!! The girls were so
excited to help plant it all, but little do they know
that one of there jobs this summer will be to weed
it:) I will be sure to give you an update on all (if any)
the yummy things that grow:)!!!!!!

Jaiden had her 5th set of tubes put in her ears today and her tonsils taken out!!!! She did so good, she was so brave!!!! The Doc said that he got a really good look at her eardrums today and so far doesn't think she has any permanent hearing damage!!!! He thinks things will really calm down with the ear infections now that she has her tonsils out!!!! She is recovering okay, they gave us some GREAT pain meds for her:) and I make sure to give them to her every 4 hours!!!!!!!! Hopefully the next week or so will go just as well!!!!

Aren't they just adorable...if they could always look that clean and kissable:) Marlie helped me get the dessert ready for our yummy easter dinner!! From what the family says it was a hit:)

Poor Jaiden looks hammered...This was just the beginning of the easter sugar!!!!

Gage's first easter basket!!! He loved it...all I really needed to put in there was the grass, that was his favorite part!!!

This was the annual easter egg hunt at Grandma Dini's...this is the best easter egg hunt. The kids literally have to stop there is no room left in there baskets for anymore eggs or candy!!! We have so much fun every year (even if it is a little cold:))

A Sad But Happy Day!!!!

Yesterday we laid my Grandpa Howard to rest. It was so sad, but he is in such a better place now!!! He would have been 99 next month, he lived a great and happy life:) We will miss him so much, but he is now in heaven!!!! It was a beatiful day!!!

Of course Ellie sat right down next to the casket and wanted to just stay right there...she eventually made her way from head stone to head stone talking to whoever was listening, telling them all about how Jesus was there with her...is was very sweet to watch her at the cemetary, kids are so innocent and it is so neat to see how close they really are to the veil!!!!

Megan came to visit us this past week, it was so much fun and we had a great time with her and Zoey!!!! I think they were really ready to go home, they aren't used to being around 4 kids all day long and getting woken up really early by them!!! It was so fun to have them here and we already miss them, Marlie came up crying just an hour after they left with tears and said "when can they come back" luckily they won't have to wait to long, I think they will be back in september for Kent's wedding!!! It was a great time!!!!

A Day With The Girls!!!

Today the girls and I went to Disney on Ice!!! We had a great time, Daddy and Gage got to stay home and bond watching basketball together!!!

This is when Ursula came out...this was Marlie's favorite part!!! It was just so fun watching the reactions on there faces every time a new character came out!!!

This was Jaiden's favorite part!! Captain Hook and Peter Pan were having a sword fight and then Captian Hook fell into the Crocodile's mouth!! It was really fun to watch!!

From the minute we sat down Ellie was asking where Tinkerbell was!!! Well finally towards the end she came out!!! Ellie didn't move or say a word, she was fascinated with her!!! Every time she would leave the ice, Ellie would ask when she was coming back!!! She loved it!!!

Needless to say we had a great time, they all fell asleep on the way home:) I really enjoyed the drive home!!!!

Big Girl Bed!!!

Ellie has been in a toddler bed since we moved in...that has the crib mattress in it and we need that for Gage's crib!!! So we decideded to get Ellie a big bed so we could get Gage out of our room and put him finally in his crib!!!! This is her big girl bed!!!
She is so proud of it!!!

This is Gage's room...its still kind of a work in progress...I still need to do something else with this wall, but I am working on it!!!

He loves his new bed!!! In fact I left him in there to put these pictures on the computer and he fell asleep...hopefully thats a sign of good things to come!!!

I want to start a blog/web page that I can display my cakes and confectionary creations:) I am leaning toward doing it as a side job, but that is a little down the road!!! So James has been trying to get me to going shooting with him ever since he got his gun, but I really don't like them, so I have always hesitated!!! Well we finally went today...it was really fun, but really, really cold!!! This is cold little Jaiden trying to stay warm, she didn't want to shoot, she just watched...it didn't last very long, she was back in the warm car with the little ones before to long!!!

After a couple of shots, I started to get the hang of it!! James said I actually did pretty well, I think I impressed him because I kept hitting all the targets:) Actually I think I impressed myself!!!!

Marlie was so excited, but nervous!!!! After feeling the kick of the gun, she was a little worried, she only shot it twice and was done!!! Jaiden said she wanted to try it next time we went!!!!

She came in the house while we were bringing things in and she couldn't make it to her bed so she ended up half way on the couch!!! Jaiden turned 6 on Dec 27th, we celebrated with our family that day, but she had a friend party on Jan. 10th. We had such a fun day...we had a snow party!!! We took all the kids sledding, it was so fun and no one got hurt!!!:) By the time we brought all the kids back to our house to have cake, they were all so tired... it was great!!! There's nothing like 12 little 5 and 6 year olds wanting to just sit down and watch a movie:) We really enjoyed the day!!!! I think most of you know that I love to decorate cakes, this Snowman cake was so fun and non-stressful to make!!! The kids loved it:) If anyone ever needs a cake made I would love to help:)

Let me just tell you how the morning began....we told the girls not to come out of there room until we came and got them, so around 7:00 we heard them yelling for us, so we went down there and Jaiden was in tears...(she isn't going to be happy with me for writing this) She had an accident in her bed:( she was so excited and she knew she wasn't suppossed to come out, we felt so bad!!!! Then Marlie started to cry and said her tummy hurt, James ran and got a bowl and well....she threw up:( What a way to start Christmas morning!!! We think its her nerves, because last year she did the exact same thing!!! After about 15 minutes she was Marlie again and things were good!!! Ellie was so cute, she opened her stocking and found a candy cane and didn't care about anything else, James kept trying to take it so she would open some presents and she got so upset, so we let her eat it!!! Once she figured out there were toys for her in the presents she went to town opening everyone's presents!!! It was a wonderful day even with all of the snow!!!!

We had our traditional opening of one present and course it was PJ's!!! They were all so excited, it took an hour to calm them down to get them ready for bed!!!! But yes they all fell asleep:)

Gage played the part of baby Jesus and couldn't have done any better, He fell asleep in Jaiden's arms the minute I put him there!! The only problem was Jaiden's little arms got so tired while Grandpa read from the Bible that by the end of it he was laying on the floor!!!

We started the night off with the meaning of christmas and the kids acted out the nativity scene!!! They all played there part very well!!!

All the kids got to sit on Santa's lap at James' work party!!! It was so fun to see Ellie, she was so nervous, but she did great! She got right up there and talked to him and was so big!!!! This is Gage's first visit with Santa!!! He didn't really mind, we'll see if its a different situation next year!!

This is Jaiden singing Jingle Bells in front of the whole crowd (about 2 hundered poeple) She did so good!! They asked for a few volunteers to sing when Santa was coming and she raised her hand and got picked!! It was so cute, a very proud mother moment:) She sang all the words and didn't mess up at all!!!!

Of course I am talking about Little Miss Ellie.....Yesterday morning she woke up and decided to make the day crazy for Mom and Dad!!! It started with Marlie bringing us the bottle of children's Motrin and telling us that Ellie got the lid off and was drinking it....It was still pretty full so I new it wasn't to much to worry about, I took it and put it on the dresser in our room and laid back down...it was still early, anyway about 20 minutes later Ellie brought me the bottle again, this time it was empty....Of course we both jumped out of bed hoping that she just dumped it out somewhere and was playing in it!!!! We couldn't find it anywhere so I smelled her mouth and sure enough it smelled like the Motrin! We asked her what she did with it and she didn't really answer, finally after talking to her for a few minutes she told us she drank it:( I called the Dr. in a panic and they sent us to the dreaded ER. What a wonderful time that was...they rushed her right in to a trauma room and you always know something is wrong when there are about 20 people rushing around in the room and hooking her up to monitors and telling me everything will be okay!!!! Needless to say everything turned out okay, They made her drink that Oh so yummy Charcoal, and had her hooked up to an IV for a few hours!!! They watched her for a while and then finally sent us home!!! We had to take her to the Dr today for a follow-up and the Doc said she is just fine!! I have now learned the hard way that a child proof lid doesn't mean anything!!!!

We decided to go out for Thanksgiving this year!! We enjoyed a very nice dinner at Tuscany!! It was really fun, but the fancy glasses were a little much for the kids, we only had a few spills though!!! The dinner was so good, we all loved the Mashed Potatoes, but really it was all very good!!! Jill, Kent, Grandpa, Grandma, Marlie, James, Ellie, Jaiden and cute little Gage was on the floor all bundled up and asleep in his car seat:)

So yesterday I took the kids to the dentist for there 6 month checkup!! It went pretty good!!! The dentist said that Marlie had beautiful teeth and no cavities:):):):) He does want us to see an orthodontist for her bite:( Then it was Jaiden's turn, she had one cavity:( and the same bite as Marlie so agian another ortho visit!!! Then it was Miss Ellie's turn, this was her first visit!!! She jumped up in the chair and opened her mouth right up!! She was so good, no cavaties, BUT....He said it was time to stop with the thumb sucking:( That is going to be a trial....she loves her thumb!!! So they get there little bags with there toothbrushes and toothpaste and we are on are way home....about half way home, Jaiden brings it to my attention that little Miss Ellie has eaten her whole tube of toothpaste!!!!!! I immediately pulled over and looked at the toothpaste and it said to call poison control right away if eaten....so I called the dentist back and of course it was after 5:00 so I had to call the emergency number!!! The dentist called me back right away laughing.....and said she would be okay, but she had to drink milk all night long and that she might throw up and her stomach would probably hurt really bad!!!! (luckily she loves milk) So we got home and starting giving her sippy after sippy cup of milk!!! We made it through the night and no throwing up:) Anyway, I now know not to let her have the little bag from the dentist in the car on the way home!!! I am sure she is not the first kid to do this.....Oh how we love Miss Ellie!!!

We baptised Marlie and blessed Gage together on the same day!!! It was so wonderful!! Jaiden was so excited for Marlie to talk to the Holy Ghost!! My kids are getting so big so fast. Time goes by when you are having fun!!!

Our new little addition! Gage is now almost three months old. He is so much fun! He is smiling and kicking all over the place. You can tell he is Daddy's boy because when James comes in the room he recognizes his voice and smiles!
